Peter HUMBLE, his wife Nancy (probably SMITH) settled land in E.Feliciana Parish in January 1810. Their children were Henry, Sarah,Jacob C., Nancy, Isham S., Catherine, John B, Charlotte, and Mary Ann C. They probably came to E. Feliciana from Amite County, MS. They were originally from Montgomery County, NC. Peter and Nancy were members of the Ebeneezer Baptist Church in Amite County. Peter died about 1832. Nancy left E. Feliciana for Catahoula Parish with some of her children in about 1834. Nancy returned at some point and was living with her son Henry in the 1860 E. Feliciana census. If anyone has any information on any of these HUMBLES I would much appreciate hearing it, and will reciprocate with any information I have.

This family is descended from Fat OleLevi HARRELL who started with several of his sons to the Mississippi Territory,. Fat OleLevi died on the way and was buried on the banks of the Mississippi River. His family settled in what is now East Feliciana Parish, La. My line is descended from Levi's son Samuel who married Sarah NEATHERLIN. I am looking for any information about the family of William LISENBY (b. 1800, SC), who m1, 1818, West Feliciana, Amelia Gayle, and m2, 1849, East Feliciana, Sophia DEAN (b. 1828, MD). Issue: William J. (b. 1850), Mary Isabella (b. 1852), John (b. 1855), Roberta (b. 1858). Sophia and Roberta disappear after William's death in 1863? 1870 census shows 3 oldest children living together - no Sophia or Roberta. Would love to discover any relatives of Sophia DEAN. Harrison and Rachel had a son Thomas Coke BRADFORD born Jan 29, 1841. Thomas Coke BRADFORD married Martha Ellen THOMPSON on Dec 21, 1865. Thomas Coke BRADFORD also had a brother David P BRADFORD born April 29, 1847. David was married April 4, 1866 to Emma NORWOOD. Harrison, Thomas and David were all Methodist Ministers in Mississippi later in life. Thomas Coke BRADFORD is my Grandfather.

I am looking for any information on John JAMES and his wife Margaret A.D. GRAVES, m Jan. 1,1829 in Amite Co. MS. I believe they lived in Amite, MS until about 1841 or 1842 according to land records, when they moved to Norwood,LA. He took her, her mother, and sister to Selma, AL at the fall of Port Hudson, married her then moved back to Clinton with her sister Hanna. They had three children born in Clinton: Mary Eliza, Owen Palmer, Charles Edward (my line). Christopher died and was buried in Clinton somewhere. I know that he had two brothers named James and Hugh that lived in the North.
