Charlene Lax Ashley died
Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Vicksburg Covenant Health & Rehab. She was 67
years old.
Born in
Bogalusa, Louisiana she had lived in Vicksburg for many years having lived the
past 12 years in Delta, Louisiana. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church
of Vicksburg.
She was
preceded in death by her father, George W. Lax; and her mother, Jimmy G. Lax;
and half brothers, Donald Tinnin, Norman Tinnin, Bob Tinnin, and Harold Tinnin. Survivors include her husband, Malcom
Ashley of Delta, LA; 2 step-sons, Marvin Ashley of Delta, LA and Lamar Ashley
of Pearl, MS; a step-daughter, Wanda Ashley of Tallulah, LA; a sister, Jeanette
Smith of Vicksburg, MS; 4 step- grandchildren; and 1 step-great granddaughter.
Visitation
will be Friday, March 11, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Glen Wood
Funeral Home with services at 11:00 a.m. in Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Dathan Tipton officiating. Burial will follow in
Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers
will be Doug Huskey, A.J. Ashley, Joel Ashley,
Jonathan Ashley, Chris Donohue, Donald Lee Tinnin,
and Chris Tinnin.
