Leon H. Baulwin
92, of Vallejo CA., passed away Saturday, Feb. 16. He was born in Tallulah,
Louisiana to the late Fred and Elizabeth Baulwin. He
graduated from Thomas Town High School, after graduating he was drafted into
the US Army where he served his country and received an honorable discharge.
Upon his return, he worked for the Benicia Arsenal and also for the General
Service Administration in San Francisco where he retired.
Leon accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He united with Mariah
Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He met his true love, Rosa Wilson
and married July 27, 1943. Leon was a die-hard Dodgers fan and enjoyed watching
all sports. A father of all fathers who loved, adored
and cherished his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Elizabeth Baulwin;
sister, Emma Williams and son, Leon H. Baulwin, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory, a loving wife, Rosa Baulwin of Vallejo, CA.; a daughter, Linda Morgan (Don) of
Vallejo, CA. three sons, Alvin Baulwin (Julia) of
Forest Hill, CA., James Baulwin (Carrie) of Vallejo,
CA., and Dave Baulwin of Vallejo, CA.; 12
grandchildren, Kelly Johnson, Tina Ovalles, Jermel Bray, Nikita Bray, Shronda
Baulwin-Carter, Crystal, Christopher, Brian, Alvin, Dave,
Dashonique and Leon Baulwin;
18 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and family members.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 22, from 3 to 8 p.m., at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, 524 Capitol St., Vallejo, CA. Service
will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m., at Union Baptist Church, 128 Encerti Ave., Vallejo, CA. Burial held at Sacramento Valley
National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd., Dixon, CA.
