Mrs. Betty died peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2024, at her home on Teddy Roosevelt Road, Tallulah. She was born March 20, 1956, in Dermott, Arkansas, to Mack Fuller, Sr. and Doris Mae Bufkin Fuller.

Mrs. Betty was a very strong-willed woman. Even after having a stroke that left her left side paralyzed, she was determined she was going to continue taking care of not only herself, but also her family and her friends. She didn’t let her handicap slow her down. She often said that she would allow herself one day a month to be handicapped and feel sorry for herself then it was back to normal life. She was the caretaker of her family; a very loving and devoted wife to Mr. Benny for 50 years, mother to her three children, and supportive grandmother to her eight grandchildren. You could always count on seeing her in the stands cheering on her grandchildren at whatever activity they were participating in. Mrs. Betty was an active member of Willow Bayou Baptist Church. She had a strong relationship with God and unwavering faith. She also had a strong concern about the relationship her family has with God. She loved volunteering at Loving Hearts Ministry in Tallulah. Almost every time the store was open, Mrs. Betty was there behind the counter greeting people with a big smile on her face and checking out the customers. She will be greatly missed at Loving Hearts by both volunteers and customers. She enjoyed participating in community events. She was on a float throwing out candy in every community parade that went through town. Her warm smile and loving personality made a brighter day for everybody she came in contact with. You were very blessed if you were lucky enough to be one of friends (and it wasn’t hard to be one of them). She loved everybody and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for anybody, and if she couldn’t do it, she would find somebody that could. Mrs. Betty was always performing acts of kindness, from giving small “treasures” to people, to sending cards to let people know they were missed at church, or just to let them know somebody is thinking about them. Mrs. Betty worked at various jobs where she helped people live better lives.

Mrs. Betty was preceded in death by her father, Mack Fuller, Sr.; mother, Doris Fuller McIlvoy, stepfather, Lester McIlvoy; husband, Benny Ralph Bedgood; and sister, Beverly Fuller.

Mrs. Betty is survived by her sons, Rusty Daniel Bedgood (Valerie) of Tallulah, Louisiana, and Tim Bedgood (Amy) of Oakdale, Louisiana; daughter, Sonya Bedgood of Tallulah, Louisiana; grandchildren, Dusty Bedgood, Drake Bedgood, Wyatt Bedgood, Jake Bedgood, Tristan Bedgood, Amellyn Bedgood, Will Stocksill, and Ainsley Earl; brother, Mack Fuller, Jr. (Jane) of Hallsville, Texas; sisters, Sue Thompson (Glenn) of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Lisa Mathes (Roy) of Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Pallbearers will be Kurtlyn Miller, Tristan Bedgood, Wyatt Bedgood, Drake Bedgood, Jake Bedgood, and William Stocksill. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Vinning, Tim Jobe, and Cliff Smith.
