Daniel Wilmer “Danny” Bedgood passed away suddenly Thursday, February 20,
2025, at Deerfield Nursing Home in Delhi, Louisiana. Danny was born June 9,
1950, in Delhi to Bill and Hazel Williams Bedgood.
Danny was a life-long resident of Madison Parish living his entire life on
the banks of Bear Lake. He started farming in 1968, and 54 years later, he
retired in 2022. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being outdoors
and loved gardening. Danny dearly loved his family and was a great son,
brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle, and he
adored his dog, Oadie. He was known to most as “Papa” or “Uncle Danny”.
Danny is preceded in death by his mother and father, Hazel and Bill
Bedgood, and his sister, Virginia Bedgood Cupit. He is survived by his wife of
56 years, Marilyn Fairbanks Bedgood; children, Dan Bedgood, Suzy Cherene, and
Pam Cagnolatti; grandchildren, Hunter Cherene, Ericka Cherene, Brennan Cherene,
Sydni Kaye Knight, Desirae Bowling, Harper Bedgood, Hazel Bedgood, Alexis
Bedgood, and Julianna Bedgood, great grandchildren, Mack Cherene, Riley
Cherene, and Knox Cherene, numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog,
Oadie.
