Eddie Isiah
Brady, 91, died last Sunday at Kaiser Hospital, Vallejo.
A native of Tallulah, La., Mr. Brady was a resident of
Vallejo for 65 years. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He
worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard for 34 years. He was one of the organizers
of the Original 21er, a civil rights group located at the shipyard. He also
served as an EEO counselor, working to make sure that all people were treated
fairly.
Viewing will be held from 2 to 8 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 24, at Cooley & Riolo Mortuary,
Vallejo. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, at the
Old Path Miracle Cathedral, 500 Arkansas St., Vallejo. Burial will follow the
funeral service in the Rolling Hills Memorial Park, Richmond.
In lieu of flowers, the family is
requesting donations be sent to the United Negro College Fund, as he wished.
