on August 1, 2014 SHREVEPORT,
LA - Funeral services for Mr. Roosevelt Brandly,
Sr., 103, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014 at St. Rest
Baptist Church, 1664 Garden St., Shreveport. Pastor Robert L. Walton will
officiate. Interment will follow at Lincoln Cemetery. Family hour will be
Friday from 8 to 9 p.m. at Winnfield Funeral Home. Mr.
Brandly passed away July 29, 2014 at Nurse Care
after a lengthy illness. He was born April 6, 1911 in Tallulah, LA. He
was preceded in death by his parents Sandope Brandly and Tommy Frazier Crew, sons Donald and Tyrone Brandly, first wife Bertha Brandly
O'Neal, second wife Ida Brazil Brandly, and all of
his siblings. Those
left to cherish his memory are son Dr. Roosevelt Brandly
Jr. and wife Chandra of Upper Marlboro, MD, daughters Bertha Marie Wiliams, Patricia Latterson,
Pamela Thomas and husband Gregory, son Roddie Brandly, all of Shreveport, and numerous grandchildren,
great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and
friends. The
family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Nurse Care and St.
Joseph Hospice for their compassion and professional care. |
