CITY, LA - On October 5, 2016 God called Merna
Deloris "Dee" Brock home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m.
on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Pastor David Craig
will be officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 6-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9th at
Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home.
Dee was born in Tallulah, LA on March 11, 1933 to G.A. and Trudy Coltharp. She grew up with a deep faith in God and served
Him faithfully. Dee met and married the love of her life, Milton Brock and they
shared a long and happy life together for over 64 years. She was a founding
member of Gracepointe Church of the Nazarene and
spent many happy years there teaching and living for Christ. Dee's family and
church family was always most important to her.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents G.A. and Trudy Coltharp
and brother-in-law, Paul Wisinger. Left to cherish
her memory are her loving and devoted husband, Milton Brock; sons, Stevie Brock
and wife, Jo, and Rickey Brock; daughter, Brenda Brock Fahy
and husband Mike; her precious grandchildren, Denise Crank, Stephen Brock,
Casey Sarka, and Katelyn Guy; 3 great-grandchildren,
Taylor Brock, Kinleigh Crank and Riley Crank;
brother, Ernest Coltharp and wife, Joan; sister, Jean
Wisinger. She also leaves behind numerous nieces,
nephews, extended family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and
loved her.
Honoring Dee as pallbearers will be Stephen Brock, Chad Crank, Gary Smith,
Richard James, Ed Delancy, and Jimmy Mahoney.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials may be made in Dee's
honor to Gracepointe Church of the Nazarene, 6825
