Funeral services for Byron Wayne Denham, 60, of Tallulah, LA will be held
at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville,
LA with Jim McCool officiating. Interment will be in the Rayville Masonic
Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home,
Rayville, LA.
Mr. Byron was born January 28, 1964 in Jackson, MS and passed away May 6,
2024 in Tallulah, LA. He was preceded by his parents, Wayne and Nora Denham.
Byron was a lifelong lover of animals. Over the course of his lifetime, he
cared for many cats and dogs. Most recently caring for a pack of rescue dogs.
Since the age of 2, Byron was also blessed with an amazing memory. He
could answer questions related to family history, civil war history, and even
details about friends, neighbors, and his hometown of Tallulah. He relished his
role as a civil war re-enactor and was a member of the Sons of the Confederacy.
Byron was known for his focus on faith and reaffirmed his dedication to
Christ in 2006.
His friends and family will miss his crazy stories, his sense of humor,
his tenacity, and his love of family.
Survivors include his brothers, Richard Denham and wife, Debra of Houston,
TX and Malcolm “Chip” Denham and wife, Keli of Richmond, VA; nephews, Conner
Denham and Nathaniel Denham; niece, Abigale Denham; companion, Margaret
Schaeffer; and his many fur babies.
Pallbearers will Darryl Sandidge, Conner Denham, Nathaniel Denham, Malcom
“Chip” Denham, Richard Denham, and Phil Morris.
Visitation will be 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, May 10, 2024 at
Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA.
