DINKINS Geretha Delores Lewis Dinkins, a retired personal care
attendant, peacefully entered into eternal rest at 4:30p.m., on Monday, October
15, 2012 at her daughter's residence. Beloved companion of
Charles McGinnis. Loving mother of Dorothy Mitchell, Diane
(Tyrone) Degree and Demetrius Lewis. Grandmother of
the late Leona Marie Dinkins. Daughter of the late
John Lewis and Rebecca Jackson. Granddaughter of the
late Ollie and Walter Jackson. Sister of Isadore Elerby, Henry Elerby, Antoinette Elerby and the
late Linda Watson and Janice Jones. Godmother of Raymond Moten and Lawrence Draine; also
survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a host of other
relatives and friends.
Age: 66 years a
native of Tallulah, La.
and a resident of Algiers, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also
pastors, officers and members of New Home Ministries, Jesus is Lord
Evangelistic Ministries and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the
Funeral Service at New Home Ministries, 1616 Carondelet St. New Orleans, La, on
Monday, October 22, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Prophet Robert Blake,
Sr., Pastor/ Pastor Donald Williams, officiating. Visitation will begin
at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named
church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery- Avondale, La.Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St.
