Ray Ronald “Ronnie”
Donham, age 76, of Tallulah, Louisiana, gained his wings and lost his battle
with COVID 19 on Friday, February 19, 2021, at St. Francis Medical Center in
Monroe, Louisiana. He was born on December 20, 1944, in Swampers, Louisiana, to
Ernest D. and Etta Mae Ayers Donham.
Ronnie grew up on
Olvey Plantation in Tallulah. He graduated from Tallulah High School in 1963
and attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He was a retired farmer
that loved to hunt and fish and passed that love to his children and
grandchildren. He was a beloved husband, dad, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Ronnie is preceded in
death by his parents, Ernest and Etta Donham; son, Carson Ray Donham; three
brothers, Roy, Jack and Carl Donham; and a sister, Jimmie Donham Mayo. He is
survived by his wife of 30 years, Kim Kennedy Donham of Tallulah, Louisiana;
son, Brian Donham and wife Kim, of Lake Charles, Louisiana; son, Will Donham of
Monroe, Louisiana; son, Colin Donham of Tallulah, Louisiana; grandsons, Cameron
and Landry Donham of Lake Charles, Louisiana; sister, Emma Jo Mehaffey of
Brunswick, Georgia; sister, Mary McDaniel of League City, Texas; sister,
Ernestine Fountain of Alexandria, Louisiana; and several cousins, nieces, and
nephews.
Visitation for Ronnie
will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM followed by a Memorial
Service at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in Tallulah, Louisiana,
with Reverends Henry and Cle’lie Stone officiating.
The family would like
to thank Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home, Greater Jackson Mortuary and
Crematory, and St. Francis Hospital of Monroe. The family would also like to
honor and thank his special friends; Nap Book, Ken Mason, Danny Bedgood,
Freddie Gaumnitz, Marlin “Bouda” Evens, Steve Gustafson, Shayne Stockstill, Don
Wilson, Mark Fletcher, Howard Carney, and Travis Tisdale for their generosity,
compassion, and love!
