Gara Fisher
Dukes, 77 of Tallulah, a homemaker died February 10, 2016 at Select Specialty
Hospital in Jackson, MS surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Dukes was born on August 3rd, 1938 in Darnell, LA to the union of Albert
Fisher and Mary Jordan Fisher. Mrs. Dukes enjoyed spending time with her family
and the grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Paul Dukes; two
brothers J.L Fisher, and William Loy Fisher; two sisters, Joan Fisher Harris
Sullivan and Shirley Fisher Cramer, and a son, Rodney Paul Fisher.
She is survived by her three sons, Randy & Dana Dukes of Tallulah, LA;
Ricky & Mary Dukes of Leesburg, VA; and Ronnie & Charlotte Dukes of
Tallulah, LA; Four Granddaughters, Marti & Kyle Dill, Emory Dukes, Audrey
Dukes, and Sydney Dukes; Four Grandsons, Ben Dukes, Johnathan
& Kelsey Dukes, Will Dukes and Preston Walker; Four Great-Grandsons, Thomas
Dill, Andrew Paul Dill, George Dill, and Weston Dukes; Two
Great-Granddaughters, Mary Frances Dill, and Mazie
Dukes.
She is also survived by two sisters, Sandra & David Cramer of Rogers, AR
and Teresa & John Hopkins of Tallulah, LA.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 1pm until time of service at
Melbourne Baptist Church in Lake Providence, LA. Service time will be Monday,
February 15, 2016 at 2pm at Melbourne Baptist Church with Rev. Butch Goodman
officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery of Lake Providence under
the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Delhi.
Pallbearers will be John Hopkins, Peyton Fisher, Ben Dukes, Johnathan
Dukes, Preston Walker, and Kyle Dill.
