Carol Louise White Dunning passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, at St.
Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana, at the age of 76. She was born
July 14, 1947, in Ferriday, Louisiana, to Claude Earl and Thelma Seyfarth
White. Carol was a resident at Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in
Tallulah, Louisiana, for several years.
Carol’s professional career included the position of legal secretary for
many years as well as a past member of the Madison Parish School Board. Carol
was an active member of Tallulah First Baptist Church serving as Sunday School
Director and teacher as well as enjoying singing in the church choir. She also
served as the first vice president of the Dixie Youth T-Ball League.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, C.E. and Thelma White;
brothers, Richard, Claude, and Joe; sister, Annette Williams of Tallulah; and
her son, Daniel “Butch” Dunning of Tallulah.
Carol is survived by her longtime caregiver and ex-husband, Tommy Dunning;
grandsons, Dalton and Matthew Dunning; sister-in-law, Charlotte White of Ferriday,
Louisiana; nieces, Rachael Griffing of Monteray, Louisiana, Laura Williams of
Monroe, Louisiana, and Alice Kaminski of Michigan, as well as numerous friends
and coworkers.
A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Carol Dunning will be held at 2:00
PM, Friday, November 3, 2023, at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah
with Bro. Jay Parker officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM.
The family would like to thank all of the employees and staff at Legacy
Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their care and compassion.
