A native and resident
of Tallulah, "Fred" as he was known passed away on Wednesday, June 8,
2016 at his residence. Fred was an outdoorsman through and through. He enjoyed
hunting in Tallulah and fishing in the Atchafalaya Basin. If he wasn't home,
you could bet he was either running nets, crawfishing,
or at his hunting camp in north Louisiana. Fred traded in his deer stand for a
mansion in the heaven, but he will be sadly missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his
son, James Ezell and companion Ciji Schexnayder of St. Martinville;
step children, Debra Melancon and husband Gary of
Lafayette, Linda Doucet and husband Perry of
Catahoula, Cynthia Gorbea and husband Salvador of
Houston, TX, Cleveland Talley of St. Martinville,
Terry Talley of Catahoula, Anthony Talley of Youngsville, Mervin Talley and
wife Kim of Catahoula; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Thidobeaux
Ezell; father, James Ezell; mother, Juanita Ezell; and brother, Jimmy Ezell.
Upholding the honor
of Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family would like
to thank Tilford, Patty, and Cliff Watts for their
friendship and kindness and for always looking after Mr. Freddy in Tallulah.
