Grace Tower Folk passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Madison
Parish Hospital in Tallulah, Louisiana, at the age of 96. She was born February
19, 1928, in Mound, Louisiana, to Bert and Gladys Scott Tower.
Mrs. Folk worked in various area banks and later worked as a bookkeeper at
Folk Equipment Company, the company that she and her husband, Jack, owned. She
loved spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, playing cards with her
friends, cooking, and entertaining family and friends. She lived a full life
and enjoyed every minute.
Mrs. Folk is preceded in death by her mother and father, Bert and Gladys
Tower; husband, Jack Folk; daughter, JoNell Reed; and sister, Clara Hodge.
Mrs. Folk is survived by her two sons, Michael Barrett (Melinda) and Ken
Barrett (Donna); 12 grandchildren, Kevin Shawn Reed (Christin), Kristine Dawn
Hoeflinger (Tom), Kelley Michelle Goldstein (Scott), Michael Glen Barrett, Jr.
(Laura), James Michael Barrett (Debbie), Myrette Michelle Tower (John), Charton
Haward Lyons, IV (Nellie), Peter McDade Lyons, Marjorie Alden Murphy, Kendall
Grace Mulhearne (Colby), Luci Thornton (Chris), and Trey Foster (Krystal); and
numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Folk will be held Thursday, September 26,
2024. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Crothers Glenwood
Funeral Home in Tallulah, Louisiana. A graveside service will be held at 10:00
AM at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah with her son, Michael Barrett,
officiating.
Pallbearers will be Pat Patrick, Stuart Moberley, Bill Querry, George
Sheppard, Danny Collins, and Nap Book.
