Funeral services for
Robert “Dewey” Fondren will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, March 6, 2022 at
Pentecostals of Sterlington with Pastor Ercel Clark officiating. Interment will
follow at Rocky Branch Cemetery, Rocky Branch, LA. Visitation will be held from
1:00 P.M. until service time at the church under the direction of Kilpatrick
Funeral Home West Monroe.
Dewey was born April 17, 1951 in Tallulah, LA and passed away March 2, 2022 in
Rocky Branch, LA. He served in the United States Navy and was a 32nd Degree
Mason. Dewey was preceded in death by his first wife Belinda Fondren; parents
James Albert Fondren and Virginia Morrison Fondren. His hobbies were hunting,
fishing, Bluegrass music, football games and cooking. He loved spending time
with family and friends.
Dewey is survived by his wife Connie Kohn Fondren; children Robert Shane
Fondren and wife Beth, Allyson Leigh Scarbrough and husband Justin;
grandchildren Luke Fondren, Graham Scarbrough, and Benjamin Scarbrough; nephew
James Eric Fondren; siblings Jim Fondren, William Earl Fondren and wife
Elizabeth, Lloyd Ray Fondren and wife Robin, and Eva Fondren.
