August 13, 1949 ~ February 9, 2025 75 Years Old

Vada Lee Warner Forrester passed away suddenly Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Madison Parish Hospital Emergency Room in Tallulah, Louisiana, at the age of 75. Vada was born August 13, 1949, in La Porte, Indiana, to David Lee and Pearl Marvel Wolfenbarger Warner.

Vada worked for the ambulance service for several years, she was an LPN at Madison Parish Hospital for 20 plus years, and after leaving the hospital, she worked as a nurse for the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office. Vada’s passion was taking care of other people. She loved people and loved talking to everyone she came in contact with. Most of all, Vada loved her family claiming her nieces and nephews as her own children and her great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews as her grandchildren. Vada will be greatly missed by everyone.

Vada is preceded in death by her mother and father, Pearl Wolfenbarger Warner and David Warner; late husband, Charles McKinnie; daughter, Donna Kay McKinnie; sisters, Kathryn Jobe and Audrey Alamond; niece, Patty Alamond; and great nephew, Tyler Jobe.

Vada is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Forrester; nephews, Mark Jobe (Amy), Robert Jobe, David Alamond (Myra), and Keith Alamond; great nieces and nephews, Allen Jobe (Rileigh), Karsen Jobe (Josh), Craig Jobe, Jessica Graham (Austin), Matthew Evans (Kristina), Cody Alamond (Tammy), Scott Alamond, Amanda Alamond, Ashley Alamond, Megan Alamond, Kendall Alamond, and Abby Alamond; great great nieces and nephews, Peyton, Lennon, Lakynn, Colton, Elissa, Clark, Oakley, Hunter, Loretta, Jalynn, Berkleigh, Kaiser, Brooklyn, and Dakota.

Funeral services for Vada will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Crothers Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM.

Pallbearers will be Mark Jobe, Robert Jobe, Allen Jobe, Craig Jobe, Cody Alamond, and Matthew Coleman. Honorary pallbearers will be Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office and staff of Madison Parish Hospital.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Cynthia Machen for all she has done for Vada and the help she has given to the family during this time of need.
