Funeral services for
Mrs. Mary Jane Freeman, age 89, will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at
2:00 P.M. at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home chapel in Tallulah, Louisiana, with
Bro. Dale Fish officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon. Burial will be
at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana.
Mrs. Freeman entered peacefully into rest Monday, October 28, 2019, at her home
in Haynesville, Louisiana. Janey was born March 2, 1930, in Russellville,
Arkansas. She was the daughter of Mr. William McKinley Terrill and Mrs. Beadie
Marie Bennett Terrill. She lived in Arkansas until she married her husband,
Decator Freeman. She then moved to Tallulah, Louisiana, where she raised her
family.
After her retirement, she moved to Haynesville, Louisiana, to be near her
daughters. Janey’s greatest joy in life was time spent with her grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Freeman is survived by two daughters, Sharron Ritzell, husband Bob, and
Helen White, husband Don, both of Haynesville, Louisiana, four grandchildren,
Sherry Lee, husband Darren, of Homer, Louisiana, Jamey Ritzell, wife Denys, of
Shongaloo, Louisiana, Tee Don White, wife Jacklyn, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, and
Julie Ritzell of Haynesville, Louisiana, eight great-grandchildren, Heather
Moring, husband Luke, and son Parker, Alexandra Taunton, Zachary Ritzell, Tyler
Tauton, Shelbi Lee, daughter Meredith, Payton Lee, Anna Grace White, and Ashton
White, one sister, Inez Decker, husband Floyd, of Ferriday, Louisiana, and a host
of beloved nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her husband, Decator Freeman, her
parents, Kinley and Beatty Terrill, great-grandson, Brittain Taunton, sisters,
Mildred Terrill, Sybil Griffin, and Dean Lowery, and brother, Charles Terrill.
