April 20, 1954 ~ July 31, 2024 70 Years Old

Connie Jean Sullivan Gayle of Tallulah, Louisiana, passed away on July 31, 2024, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, Louisiana, after a lengthy illness. 

Connie was born on April 20, 1954, in Lake Providence, Louisiana, to Alvin Odell Sullivan, Sr. and Vernell Evenell Carter Sullivan. Connie was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She took pride in everything she did in life no matter what and loved with her whole heart. She was a Christian and knew her Bible well. Connie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. This isn’t goodbye it’s just "see ya later".

Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Evenell Sullivan; her husband, Kenneth Gayle, Sr.; brothers, David Sullivan and Jimmy Sullivan; and sisters, Shelia Ann Sullivan and Francis Gayle.

Connie is survived by her children, Kenny Gayle (Amy) of Tallulah, Louisiana, Gideon Gayle (Deri) of Swartz, Louisiana, and Dulcie Jeffers (Joe) of Tallulah, Louisiana; grandchildren, Kory Gayle, Shelby Jeffers, Kameron Gayle, Tripp Gayle, Sullivan Jeffers, Vivian Gayle, Ric Gayle, and John Henry Gayle; brothers, Alvin Sullivan (Vickie) of Alsatia, Louisiana, Jerrel Sullivan (Veronica) of Alsatia, Louisiana, Johnny Sullivan (Teresa) of Farmerville, Louisiana; and Daniel Sullivan (Mary) of Alsatia, Louisiana; brother-in-law, Frank Gayle; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Delhi Hospital and Glenwood Hospital for all the life saving measures and care she was given during her time there. 

A celebration of life will be held on August 11, 2024, at 2pm at the Poverty Point conference hall in Delhi, Louisiana.
