Mary Jane McDonald Grady,
age 63, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023, at her home in
Sondheimer, Louisiana. She was born on October 13, 1959, in Delhi, Louisiana,
the daughter of David and Nola McDonald. Jane was raised in Tallulah,
Louisiana, and graduated from Tallulah High School. She attended Louisiana Tech
University. She married Henry Grady, and they made their home in Sondheimer.
Jane and Henry were farmers. She worked in the field beside Henry doing
anything that needed to be done. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife,
mother, and grandmother. Jane and Henry loved taking their family to their camp
in Arkansas. She would always talk about how beautiful it was, especially in
the fall when the leaves were changing colors.
Jane was preceded in
death by her father, David McDonald, special aunt, Audrice “Mac” Crawford, and
brother, David McDonald, Jr.
Survivors include her
husband of 39 years, John Henry Grady; son and daughter-in-law, John and
Christina Grady; and son and daughter-in-law, Steven Grady and
Jessica Fritts; three grandchildren, Blakely, Scarlett, and
Luke; mother, Nola McDonald; one brother, James “Bodie”
McDonald; one sister, Judy McKnight; and many other loved aunts,
uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
A visitation will be
held for Mary Jane Grady Monday, February 13, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at
Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah. A graveside service will be held at
2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Sandhill Cemetery in Auvergne,
Arkansas, under the direction of Jackson’s Funeral Home in New Port, Arkansas.
