Beverly Diane Grissom
- Madison Parish, Louisiana
January 1, 1960 ~ April 3, 2021 (age 61)
From Crothers-Glenwood
Funeral Home Tallulah, LA April 11, 2021
Beverly Diane
Grissom, age 61, of Clinton, Mississippi, went to her heavenly home on
Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Merit Health Central Mississippi Medical Center in
Jackson, Mississippi. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday,
April 12, 2021, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Bro.
Bill Bearden officiating.
Diane was born in
Shreveport, Louisiana, on January 1, 1960, to Quincy Whitfield and Farris
Luniel Driskill Foster. She graduated from Springhill High School and continued
her education to receive an elementary school teaching degree from Northeast
Louisiana University. Diane married Larry Grissom on October 3, 1987. She
worked as a kindergarten teacher for many years. She enjoyed crafting, spending
time with her kids, grandkids, and “granddogs”, and she enjoyed crossword
puzzles as long as someone else was in the room to help her. Her favorite
“happy” place was being on the beach even if she was only able to go there in
her thoughts. Being there helped her cope with the many years of pain. Through
it all, she managed to always have a smile and a happy disposition. Diane could
be found every weekend at the American Legion listening to music. She was the
#1 fan of the Common People Band in which her husband, Larry, was the bass
player.
Diane is survived by
her husband of 33 years, Larry Grissom; children, Kim Tidwell, Bailee Grissom,
and Logan Grissom and fiancée Bria; grandchildren, Maggi Lyn and Thomas
Jay Hestle; mother, Ferris “Janet” Foster; brothers, Dan Foster and wife
Debbie, Kerry Foster and wife Joyce, and Jerry Foster and wife Kim; and a
host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
She is preceded in
death by her father, Quincy “Pop” Foster.
The family of Beverly
Diane Grissom wishes to thank everyone for your prayers, support, and well
wishes throughout this difficult journey.
