Julius “Glenn” Guimbellot passed away Thursday, January
9, 2025, at Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Monroe,
Louisiana, at the age of 72. Glenn was born August 20, 1952, in Winnsboro,
Louisiana, to Julius “Bud” Ferdinand and Ollie Inez Watson Guimbellot.
Glenn purchased Delta Tire in Tallulah, Louisiana, in 1980 and was the
owner/operator of the business until he sold it in 2024. He enjoyed hunting and
playing golf and was a diehard LSU fan. He was a good businessman who loved the
Tallulah community. He was honest, hardworking, and a loyal friend. He was well
respected in the community. Glenn loved his family and was a great father and
grandfather.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Ollie Guimbellot, and
his wife, Susan Scott Guimbellot.
Glenn is survived by his daughter, Leslie Larsen; grandchildren, Remy
Larsen, Lola Larsen, Taylor Weems Branton, and Matthew Weems; brother, Tim
Guimbellot; sisters, Brenda McKnight and Judy Watson; step-son, Tracy Weems;
and special friend, Kara Elter.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at
Crothers Glenwood Funeral Home with visitation starting at 12:00 PM. Burial
will follow.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Butts, Ron Bedgood, Freddy Morgan,
David Branch, Billy Ray Hodge, Dalton Fortenberry, and Booby Powers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Research Center or
the Parkinson’s Foundation.
