Kathy Skelton Gunn - Madison Parish, Louisiana
From Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Tallulah, LA February 2024

December 31, 1958 ~ February 2, 2024 65 Years Old

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister Kathy Skelton Gunn.

Kat (as everyone knew her) spent the last years of her life in nursing homes due to numerous health issues.  She adapted well. Made friends easily.  Never met a stranger.  Always helping and caring for others.  Kat loved reading, music, being on her I-Pad and watching football on TV.  Her favorite past time was talking on the phone.  She was never too sick to carry on a conversation.  Kat loved food.  All kinds of food, but it had to be home cooked or fast food. Chinese was her favorite take-out because they deliver!  Definitely NO to nursing home food.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew her.  She was kind, generous and lived her life on her own terms.  Kat was a loyal friend and sister.  She was truly a free spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Bill Skelton.

She is survived by her 3 children Justin Byrd, Blane Byrd and Michael Gunn, several grandchildren, numerous nieces, 3 sisters, Barbara Busby (Ted), Linda Williamson and Melissa Nettles a 1 brother Lester Skelton (Mary).

One quote comes to mind when we think of our sweet sister.  "So come with me where dreams are born, and time is never planned."  Peter Pan

Buried in Silver Cross Cemetery, Tallulah, LA February 6, 2024
