Brody Britton Henley -
Madison Parish, Louisiana
April 5, 1980 ~ March 9, 2021 (age 40)
From Glenwood
Funeral Home Vicksburg, MS March 12, 2021
Brody Britton Henley, age 40, passed
away on March 9, 2021 in Vicksburg, MS.
He is preceded in death by his father, Michael B. Henley.
He is survived by his mother, Brenda Britton of Bee Branch, AR, his brother,
Justin Henley of Bee Branch, AR, and his son, Daylon Henley of Vicksburg, MS,
his pride and joy.
Brody was born on April 5, 1980 in Delhi, LA. He was raised in Tallulah, LA
where he played baseball as a child and attended Tallulah High School. He soon
after moved to Vicksburg, MS where he worked many jobs. One that he loved the
most was pipefitting for Union Local 619. He was a wonderful pipe fitter,
plumber, and welder. He worked in the plumbing and pipefitting field for about
15 years. Once he decided to quit traveling, he took a plant manager position
at EcoPak in Flowers and then moved on to Vicksburg Forestry where he worked a
very short time before his passing.
Brody loved wood working. He loved building things with his hands. He was also
a phenomenal prepper for if we ever saw the end of times. Golfing and taking
Daylon fishing was a fun past time for him. He loved collecting valuables for
Daylon and he loved collecting matches and shot glasses from all over, just for
fun.
Brody had a heart condition since birth which caused him to have two open heart
surgeries to replace his aortic valve. His second surgery was a year ago and he
had complications on and off every since. His heart finally gave out.
He was a friend to all. He never once met a stranger. If you ever wanted to
laugh and to be entertained, he was your guy. Brody knew how to bring the life
to the party wherever he went. He loved dancing and singing karaoke and being
surrounded by friends. He will truly be missed. May his memory live on.
