Louisiana

“Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price
is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her,
so that he shall have no need of spoil. She riseth
also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her
household. She
is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed
in scarlet. Strength and honor are her
clothing: and she shall rejoice in time to come.” These words are taken from
Proverbs 31 and describe why Mrs.
Margie Holloway so deserves the rest and rejoicing that now greet her.
Funeral

Mrs.
Holloway was born Margie Lynn Carter on August 1, 1931, to Alfred and Bessie Tuberville Carter in Point, La.
She married her life-long sweetheart, J. W. Holloway on September 24, 1946.
Together they worked hard and built
their home and a successful farming operation along the banks of the Bayou
Macon in the Madison Parish community
of Little Fork. The Holloways were blessed with two children, Jimmie Lynn
Holloway Franklin and Jeff Holloway. Mrs. Holloway completed her
degree in home economics at Northeast Louisiana State College in 1963, teaching
at Crowville and Central High Schools. She was known
throughout the area for her beautiful flowers and gardens. She greatly enjoyed
traveling with her family and experiencing gardens in other
areas of the state and throughout the country. In her later years, Mrs.
Holloway cared for her home and family, particularly devoted to meeting
the needs of her son Jeff who was paralyzed in an accident in 1971. The
addition of grandchildren and great-grandchildren throughout the
years gave her even more souls to nurture and cherish. She passed from this
life to her eternal rest on June 20, 2010 after a lengthy illness.
