Rhada Leonidas
Hopkins died Tuesday, June 5, 2018. He was 85.
Born in Tallulah, La.
On June 1, 1933 to the late William Irving
Hopkins and Carrie Bunch
Hopkins, Mr. Hopkins had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1969. He
retired in 1983 from AT&T as a PBX repairman. He also, along with his wife,
Theresa, co-owned Hopkins Photography. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hopkins
was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his
wife, Theresa Anderson Hopkins; five sons, Ronnie Hopkins of Monroe, La.,
Rodger Hopkins (Kim), Brian Hopkins and Brent Hopkins (Polly), all of
Vicksburg, and Jason Hopkins (Jennifer) of Clinton; a daughter, Sherry Dennis
(Jeff) of Delta, La; eleven grandchildren, Pamela Donaldson (Roger), Sheila
Henderson, Colby Hopkins Langford (Joel), Austin Hopkins (Anna), Ryan Hopkins,
Brittany Hopkins, Cody Hopkins, Hayliegh Hopkins,
Luke Hopkins, Lydia Hopkins, and Mary Lawsen Hopkins;
two great-grandchildren, Abel Hopkins and Daniel Waring;
and a sister, Katie Frey of North Carolina.
Services will be 11
a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Marty Wilson
officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.
Interment will follow in the Hopkins Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be
Ronnie Hopkins, Rodger Hopkins, Brian Hopkins, Brent Hopkins, Jason Hopkins,
Austin Hopkins, Ryan Hopkins, Cody Hopkins and Luke Hopkins.
The family would like
to thank Dr. Namihira and staff with the Better
Living Clinic, Dr. Whitaker of Merit Health River Region, Rita Adams and Nicki Emfinger with Southern Care
Hospice, Angela McCain with Gentiva Home Health and
the Vicksburg Fire Department.
