Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Joyce
Ghrigsby Jobe, age 79, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 16, 2022,
at First Baptist Church in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Bro. Bill Davis and Bro.
Jason Lupo officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow
the service in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of
Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.
Mrs. Peggy passed
away Monday, February 14, 2022, at her home in Tallulah after a long illness.
She was born May 12, 1942, in St. Joe, Tennessee, to Turner and Lorine Chandler
Ghrigsby. She lived in the Vicksburg/Tallulah area for approximately 65 years.
She was married to her husband, Ray Jobe, for 59 years.
Mrs. Peggy is
preceded in death by her parents, Turner and Lorine Ghrigsby; brother, David
Ghrigsby; and grandson, Matthew Jobe.
Mrs. Peggy is
survived by her husband, Ray Jobe of Tallulah, Louisiana; sons, Clifton Jobe,
Jimmy Jobe, Joe Jobe, and Tim Jobe (Suszonne); sister, Dean Piekarski (Ron) of
Vicksburg, Mississippi; brothers, Jimmy Ghrigsby (Lorraine), Edward Ghrigsby,
Herman Ghrigsby, and Larry Ghrigsby, all of Tallulah, Louisiana;
sisters-in-law, Marie Castle (Judd) and Linda Vines (Huey), both of Vicksburg,
Mississippi; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be
Tristen Street, J. R. Brown, Seth Jobe, Joshua Jobe, Carlton Whitaker, and
Steve Rundall. Honorary pallbearer will be Steven Jobe.
Others honoring Mrs.
Peggy will be Bro. John Skinner and Mr. George Shepherd.
