Bobby Joe Lee was born in Forest, LA on October 9, 1929 and died March 29, 2011. He was 81 years of age.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. John Kavanaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the church Friday from 2 p.m. until the service


Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Wilma Lee; a sister and brother -in-law Joyce and Cush Watson; a grandson, Jed Dartlone and son-in-law Billy Wayne Dartlone.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years; Bobbye Anne Lee of Tallulah; two sons, Billy Clyde Lee and wife Brenda of Tallulah; Benny Lee and wife Sandy of Tallulah; three daughters, Cynthia Dartlone of Delhi; Jeannie Cobb and husband Lewis of Tyler, Texas; and Linda Smith and husband Jeff of Tallulah; two sisters, Tommie Jean Leake and husband Sam of Newellton and Sheryl Kifer and husband Dan of Carthage, Texas; fourteen grandchildren including, Jennifer Shelton, Leslie Smalley, Ben Cobb, Blaine Lee, Bennett Joe Lee, Hannah Jones, Nathan Lee, Natalie Lee, Adam Clayton, Lee Clayton, Brittany Smith, Corey Watson, Kara Watson, Kristen Watson. Mr. Lee also had eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mr. Lee's grandsons, Ben Cobb, Blaine Lee, Bennett Joe Lee, Nathan Lee, Adam Clayton, Lee Clayton, Corey Watson and Massey Shelton.

Mr. Lee was dedicated in serving his Lord and was actively involved in his Church. As a farmer and rancher he served on numerous local and state boards and commissions. Bobby Joe and Bobbye Anne enjoyed traveling in their motor home and meeting with special friends on campgrounds. Mr. Lee was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing and ballgames with his family.
