Jeanne Elise Lee, 49, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and a resident of Dallas, Texas passed away on November 17, 2016. She was born on July 12, 1967 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Baton Rouge's Episcopal High School and Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.

 

Jeanne Elise enjoyed her years working with children during their earliest years of development at the Shelton School in Dallas. She treasured the times she spent in Louisiana at Lake Bruin and Grand Isle. Her close family included her cherished pets as she was a life-long lover of all animals. With her independent spirit and positive perseverance to meet all challenges, Jeanne Elise was admired by all and will be long remembered by her family and many friends.

 

Jeanne Elise is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Yerger, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. James Clifford Lee, Sr.; and uncles, James Clifford Lee, Jr., John David Lee, and Edwin Ellis Lee, Sr. She is survived by her parents, Mrs. Jeanne Yerger Schmidt and Dr. William Chapman Lee; her sister, Allyson and brother-in-law, Jeff Perdue; aunts, Dorothy Supple Yerger and Eloise Yerger Wall; uncle, William Yerger, Jr. and numerous cousins and friends.

 

A memorial service mass will be held on Wednesday, November 23 at 11 AM at St. Edward Catholic Church in Tallulah, Louisiana. Interment and visitation will follow at Memorial Park and parish hall, respectively. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to St. Edward Catholic Church 204 East Bayou Drive, Tallulah, LA 71282 or Mothers Against Drunk Drivers 2644 South Sherwood Forest Boulevard Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
