Jimmie Lee Marsh was born on January
21, 1946 in Sondheimer, Louisiana. He died October 12, 2017 at his home,
surrounded by family and friends. He was a lifelong farmer and an avid hunter
and fisherman. He loved spending time with his wife, children and
grandchildren, family and friends. He was a volunteer firefighter, a member of
the Louisiana Wildlife Federation, 32nd degree Mason, member of the First
United Methodist Church of Tallulah and a volunteer for The Wild Turkey
Federation's Handicap Hunt.
He was preceded in
death by his parents Jeff and Sarah Lucille Marsh and his brother Paul Marsh.
He is survived by his
wife Betty Taylor Marsh, son Garrett Marsh, daughter-in-law Krimson
Marsh (who was the daughter he never had), his grandchildren Callie and Carter
Marsh, his brothers William Marsh (wife Sharyn),
Larry Marsh (wife Beverly), Billy Marsh (wife Ginny), his sisters Alice Marsh
Eubanks, Dorothy Marsh Ainsworth (husband Dale), Betty Marsh Boudreaux (husband
Riley), Ann Marsh Shephard (husband George), Cathy
Marsh Powers (husband Andrew), sister-in-law Stella Marsh and more than one
generation of nieces and nephews that he loved very much.
The service will be
led by Bro. Henry Stone, Bentley Curry and Bro. Jason Lupo.
Paul bearers will be: Michael Breaux, Tommy Hemphill, Harry Murray, Ronnie
Parker, Bill Grimes, Donald Collins, Dalton Fortenberry, Conan Pearson and
Larry Jones II.
Memorials may be made
to the First United Methodist Church of Tallulah.
