Barbra G. Moore - Madison Parish, Louisiana
Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Tallulah, LA November 19, 2024
April 3, 1947 ~ November 15, 2024 77 Years Old

Barbra G. Moore, 77, of Tallulah, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She was born on April 3, 1947, in Ripley, TN, where she grew up and graduated from Ripley High School in 1965.

Three years later, Barbra met the man she would soon call her husband, and on September 8, 1969, they were married in Jacksonville, FL. Seven years later, they started their family with the birth of their first of three sons. Over the years, they lived in Jacksonville, FL, Blackfish Lake, AR, Hazen, AR, and Tallulah, LA.

Barbra was a follower of Christ and a member of First Baptist Tallulah. She became a business owner with her husband in 1998 and remained so for 16 years before retiring in 2014. In her retirement, she worked for the Madison Parish Council on Aging and remained there until being called to her eternal home with Christ in Heaven. She truly enjoyed her work at the Madison Parish Council on Aging and often spoke of the good people she encountered each day.

Barbra loved to read and has read just about all, if not all, of John Grisham’s books. She enjoyed writing short stories for her own enjoyment, cooking, baking, and cake decorating. She loved trying new recipes but adding her own special touch to them. She loved flowers, though she wasn’t the best at “loving” flowers! And, like many ladies, she also loved to shop.

Barbra is lovingly remembered as “Bob” by her one and only husband of 55 years, “Mom” by her three sons, and “Gram” by her seven grandchildren. Above all, she is known as a “child of God” by the Father in Heaven and a “co-heir with Christ”. She will be deeply missed, but for those who are in Christ, this is not “goodbye”, but rather “see you later”.

Survivors include her husband, Anthony Moore of Tallulah; her three sons, Brandon Moore (wife Leslie), Eric Moore (wife Valerie), and Jeremy Moore (wife Jessica); and her seven grandchildren, Shelby Williams, Lilyann Moore, Addison Moore, Jaxon Moore, Lincoln Moore, Lawson Moore, and Avery Moore. Barbra was excited to become “Great Gram” to Cason Williams in January, 2025.

Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church Tallulah, on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 1:30pm, with a Memorial Service starting at 2pm.
