Lincoln Owens Jr.,
age 85, of Denison, Texas entered into rest on Wednesday June 27, 2018. Lincoln
was born March 13, 1933 in Tallulah, Louisiana to Irene Owens and Lincoln Owens
Sr. Lincoln joined The Air Force at age 18, he served for 23 years. During his
service time he met the love of his life, he and Frankie eloped to get married
on December 31, 1954 in Gainesville, Texas. The two of them shared 63 beautiful
years together. Lincoln worked the following 23 years for Safeway Brookside of
Denison where he once again retired.
Lincoln is survived
by his wife Frankie; son Jerry Owens and wife Robin of Denison; daughter Cindy Mahana and Brent of Denison; brother Truman Owens and wife
Shelia of Bush, LA; sister Patricia Conaway and husband Raymond of New Roads,
LA; grandchildren Stacy Mahana, Trent Mahana, Ethan Owens and Rose Smith.
Lincoln was preceded
in death by his parents and brother William Owens.
A visitation will be
held Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Bratcher Funeral Home,
Denison, Texas. A graveside service will occur Monday, July 2, 2018 at 10:00 AM
at Fairview Cemetery, Denison, Texas.
