Dennard First National Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA November 18, 2024
Graveside services for Leavy Rose Payne, 75, of Tallulah, will be held
1:00 pm Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery,
Rayville with Rev. John Skinner officiating under the direction of Dennard
First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11:30 am until 12:30 pm at the
funeral home.
Leavy was born February 4, 1949, to the union of the late Ray Cassels and the
late Carrie Griffith Cassels and passed peacefully at her home in Tallulah
surrounded by her family.
If you were visiting with Leavy she would make sure that you never left her
home hungry.
Leavy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Thomas "Red"
Payne; and one brother Walter Cassels.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Tammy Payne Petty and husband
C. J.; two grandchildren: Jessica Rose Glascox and Jack Petty; three great
grandsons: Logan Adcock, Landon Petty and Finnlee Brown; two sisters: Dollie
Alesich and Erlene Linder; four brothers: Dennis Cassels, Danny Cassels, Thomas
Cassels, and Kenneth Cassels; a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Logan Adcock, Finn Brown, C.J. Petty, Carl Edward Petty,
Jack Petty, and Landon Petty.
