Funeral Services for Mr.
William Frederick "Ricky" Peel, 68, of Tallulah, LA formerly of West
Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the
McClendon Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Jason McGuffie
and Rev. Werner Aswell officiating. Interment will
follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
Ricky was
born on September 12, 1947 and passed away in Monroe, LA on February 18, 2016.
He attended Northeast Louisiana State University on a basketball Scholarship.
Ricky received his master's degree in Criminal Justice also from NLU. Mr. Peel
was a retired Major with the Monroe Police Department with 30 years of service,
and he also worked in the Federal Courthouse for 9 years. Ricky taught Sunday School for many years and also served as a Deacon. He loved
all sports including golf, and fishing. He also taught Physical Education at
Tallulah Academy.
Ricky is
preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ollie Mae Peel and by his sister,
Elaine Pierce.
Survivors
include his wife, Yvonne Peel; daughters, Stephanie Collins and husband, Curt
and Wendy Peel; grandchildren, Savannah Collins and Joshua Collins; brothers,
Winfred Peel and wife, Juanita, Wilfred Peel, Bobby Peel and wife, Yvonne and
Johnny Peel and wife, Delane; sisters, Sue Cockerham, and Alice Hinton and husband, Carroll;
brother-in-law, James Pierce; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers
will be Johnny Peel, Truman Collins, Edwin Turnage,
Polk Brian, Rusty Staples and Chum Huggins.
Visitation
will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

may be made to the Hospitality Apartments in Houston, TX (www.hospitalityapartments.org)
or to the Tallulah Academy Elementary PE Fund, 700 Wood St. Tallulah, LA 71282.
