HOMER, LA - Funeral
services will be held for Barney Peters, 75, at the Rose-Neath Funeral home
Chapel in Homer on Monday November 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with his brother
Curtis Peters officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home
on Sunday November 13, 2011.
Mr. Peters was born July 5, 1936 to Benjamin and Mattie Peters. He entered into
rest November 10, 2011 in Homer, La. Mr. Peters served in the Air Force as a
Sr. Master Sergeant, he was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion and a
charter member of the 57th M.A.S.
Mr. Peters was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Paul Peters.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Peters of Homer, a son Barney D.
Peters Jr. of Homer, two sisters, Ida P. Burger of Homer and Julia Mae Peters
of Homer, three brothers, Ward Peters of Franklin, Tn. John Peters of Homer and
Curtis Peters of Pittsburg, Tx. and numerous nieces,
nephews and other friends and relatives.
NOTE: The Peters
family lived in Tallulah
in the early 1950’s.
