Mr. J. K. “ Billy” Post, Jr., 87, passed away December 23, 2014, at
his home, surrounded by his loving family, after battling pancreatic cancer and
Alzheimer’s.
Funeral
services will be Friday, December 26, 2014, at 11:00 A.M., at Trinity Episcopal
Church of Tallulah, officiated by Rev. William Echols. Visitation will start at
10:00 A.M, at the church. A private family burial service will follow at Silver
Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Post
was born on November 22, 1927. He graduated LSU, served in the Air Force from
1952-1953, and served Madison Parish as Clerk of Court for 33 years. Billy
enjoyed farming, cooking, spending time at Lake Bruin, was an avid golfer,
loved his LSU Tigers and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Tallulah.
Mr. Post
is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn “Sue” Post, daughter, Carolyn Post
Davis (Mike), son Jerome “Keith” Post III (Danette),
5 granddaughters, Natalie Davis, Jessica Davis, Keri Post, Kathryn Sue Post,
and Anne Marie Post.
Mr. Post
was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome Keith Post, Sr. and Claudia
Stafford Post.
Pallbearers
will be Bob Goza, Gary Jones, Joe K Scott, Walter
Scott, Mike Sevier, and Bill Querry.
Memorials
may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church of Tallulah or a charity of your
choice.
