Martha Jeanette Osborne Sharpe - Madison Parish, Louisiana

Martha Jeanette Osborne Sharpe was born in Obion, Tennessee, June 2, 1931 to Huey Adam Osborne and Myrtle Goodman Osborne. She grew up in Tennessee with a zest for life.

 

She and her family moved to Tallulah, Louisiana as a young teenager. She graduated from Tallulah High School, then graduated from Bish Mathis Institute of Business in Monroe, Louisiana. She married Archie Vonzhel "Vonnie" Sharpe December 31, 1949.


They had four daughters. She worked for Staplcotn for thirty years being adored by many Delta farmers and friends all over the South. She had a beautiful smile, an infectious positive attitude, and always sought life wherever she went.

 

She lived in Carthage, Texas, Newellton, Louisiana and moved to Rockwall, Texas in 2005 for 10 years.

 

She was a member of Pure Heart Fellowship Church and was devoted to her Bible study class and the Women's Ministry. She was a mentor to many. She was a member of the Red Hat's known as Jet‑Set Jeanette, the Rockwall Garden Club, Newcomers of Rockwall, and played in several bridge clubs. Most of all, she loved being with family and friends and will always be remembered as a true, classic, Southern Belle.

 

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents Adam and Myrtle Osborne, her brother Ilar Osborne, and sister Ruby Osborne Alexander and four other siblings.

 

Jeanette is survived by her four daughters Vonette Tully of Rockwall, Texas, Kim Doyle of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sherri Limely of Kyle, Texas and Shannon Sharpe of Kyle, Texas; sons-in‑law Doyle Tully of Rockwall, Texas, Kenny Doyle of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Rod Limely of Kyle, Texas; Grandchildren ; Benjamin Tully and wife Kayla, Samuel Tully, Joseph Tully, Luke Tully of Rockwall, Texas, John Tully of Pensacola, Florida; Christopher Doyle and wife Leslie of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mark Doyle of Seattle, Washington, Morgan Doyle of Dallas, Texas; Victoria Limely, Joshua Limely and Matthew Limely of Kyle, Texas; and great grandson Hollis Doyle of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. There are many nieces, nephews, and loving friends also surviving her.

 

Jeanette was a lover of life for 84 years. Her "Celebration of Life Memorial Service" will be held at Pure Heart Fellowship Church, 5700 Mark Lane, Rowlett, Texas 75089 on Saturday, December 5th at 2PM.
