Mrs. Dorothy Marie Walker Taylor passed away peacefully at home in Tallulah, Louisiana, surrounded by her family on Friday, June 3, 2022, at the age of 84.

Mrs. Taylor was born October 7, 1937, in Delhi, Louisiana, to Frank and Mammie Walker. She married Earl Ray “Bud” Taylor, and they made their home in the Willow Bayou Community a few miles outside Tallulah. Together they farmed at Willow Bayou and raised four daughters. Mrs. Taylor took her girls to Willow Bayou Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed visiting with her friends, she adored flowers of all kinds, and she loved gardening, but mostly she loved the Lord!

Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Bud Taylor; great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Lisonbee; parents, Frank and Mammie Walker; brothers, Herman McCarver, LaFay McCarver, and Barney Walker; and sisters, Vadie Baum, Unice Wilson, and Gladys Lingfelt.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her four daughters, Lynn Taylor Lisonbee (Calvin Lisonbee), Brenda Taylor Remore, Kathy Taylor Farnsworth (late Blake Farnsworth), and Betty Taylor Marsh (late Jimmie Marsh); grandchildren, Alyce Keene (C.W. Keene), Jesse Lisonbee (Christie Lisonbee), DeAnna Remore Presley (Jamie Presley), and Krimson Marsh (Garrett Marsh); great-grandchildren, Chelsea Keene, Wesley Lisonbee, Jacob Lisonbee, Ansleigh Presley, Callie Marsh, and Carter Marsh; sisters, Mable Noble, Katherine Wallace, and Shirley Mercer; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends, whom she dearly loved. Mrs. Dorothy Taylor will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Taylor will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 6, 2022, at Parkview Baptist Church in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Bro. Jason Lupo, Bro. Thomas Boothe, and Bro. Henry Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Parkview Baptist Church from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Guice, Garrett Marsh, Donnie Remore, Jamie Presley, Joe McCarver, and Connie McCarver. Honorary pallbearer will be Calvin Lisonbee
