Graveside Services for Geraldine
Whaley Taylor will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 11, 2017, with
Bro. Marion Spence officiating at Silver Cross Cemetery, Tallulah, La.
Interment will follow under the direction of Kramer of Colfax. Visitation will
be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 10, 2017, in the
chapel of Kramer of Colfax.
Gerri Taylor, 75, of
Colfax, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, in her residence surrounded
by her loved ones. Gerri is preceded in death by her father, James Davis;
mother, Ann Lee Whaley Davis; and brother, Linwood Ray Williams.
Gerri was a loving,
devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to go
shopping, read, collect antique glasses, and Barbie dolls. Her greatest joy was
taking care of her family. Gerri worked for the La. Dept of Corrections as a
correction officer and retired in 2001. Gerri loved her Lord and will be deeply
missed by all.
Those left to cherish
her memory include her husband of 55 years, Roy Taylor; daughter, Winnie Taylor
and husband, Jeff; granddaughter, Victoria Standrie;
five great-grandchildren, Roy, Matthew, Aiyden, Gracelynn, and Michael; cousin, Debbie Zimmerman; and
caregiver, LeiLonie Perkins.
The Taylor Family
