MYLA WILLIAMS Myla Gwen (Sanders) Williams, of Las Vegas, passed away Oct. 15, 2009, at the tender young age of 50. Born Aug. 14, 1959, in Tallulah, La., she moved to Las Vegas, where she resided for over 40 years. Myla was a graduate of Western High School and received an associate degree in general studies from CCSN. She was a casino employee for 14 years and an active member of the Lupus Foundation. Myla was loving, compassionate, and had an unending desire for learning. Myla loved spending time with her family, spoiling her dogs, doing her crossword puzzles and watching her favorite programs. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mable Jackson; father, Jessie Hampton; and husband, Bobby Williams. Myla is survived by her mother, Mattie Sanders; uncle, Arthur DeLawrence; brothers, Cedric, Cassius, Eric, Anthony S., Lamar and Anthony H.; sister, Catarina; daughters, Johnette, Antigone and her partner, Laura; son, Dominic and his girlfriend, Georgia; grandchildren, Desvaunte (16), KeJohn (13) and Tyrone (11); special friends Julia, Cookie and Al; and a host of cousins and friends. Myla's service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Myla was a devoted daughter, mother and nana, and she will be truly missed by all those lives she has touched.
