They will handle ready-to-wear for both ladies and gentlemen. The new firm is composed of Mr. Kaufman, who, for several years has been manager of the store of the Tendal Mercantile Company at Tendal, and Mr. Salo Abrahm, who has been traveling for a dry goods house for about fifteen years. Mr. Abrahm said, when a representative of the Journal inquired as to the opening of the new store, that it would be about a couple of weeks yet before they would be ready as it was their intention to put in a good stock and it was necessary to rebuild entirely the fixtures so that the stock could be displayed to advantage. They have adopted the slogan "The Popular Price Store" and Mr. Abrahm said they intended to stick to their slogan. They have already placed an order with the Journal for their stationery and stated that they would give due notice of their opening in an ad in the Journal. Mr. Abrahm has moved his family from New Orleans where they formerly resided to Tallulah and they are occupying the residence formerly occupied by the family of Mr. J. C. Texada.
