New Orleans, La March 22nd, 1891 I Mary Elizabeth Clark, born Prest, do Hereby make and constitute this as my last Will and Testament. I give and bequeath to my brother Lewis E. Prest and my sister Louise Ellen Prest jointly al that I may die possessed of. I hereby appoint and constitute my said brother an sister as my testamentary executor with full seizin and dispense them with all bond or security as administrator and administratrix and in the event of either of the aforesaid brother or sis dying, then, all of my estate shall go to the surviving one. “signed” Mary Elizabeth Clark Ne Varietur N.O. Ellis PROBATE __Be it remembered, That on this twelfth day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and Ninety-three and the 118th of the Independence of the United States of America__ __Upon the application of Lewis E. Prest and Louise Ellen Prest present and to my decree bearing even date herewith.__ __ Before me, Thos C.W. Ellis Judge of this civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans Division “A” acting for the Hon. A.H, Rightor judge of Division “D” now absent on leave personally came and appeared Adam Lorch and J. Diboll witnesses who being duly sworn were by me presented with an instrument of writing, written on two pages of a double sheet of note paper with the following words “New Orleans, La March 22 1891 and ending with the following “shall go to the surviving one” Mary Elizabeth Clark and purporting to be her, orography Last Will and Testament, which being be me exhibited to the aforesaid witnesses, was by them recognized and declared to be entirely written, dated and signed by the testator the said Mary Elizabeth Clark which they attest, as having often seen her write and sign during her lifetime, and the said appeasers did hereunto Set their hands after due reading hereof, on the day, months and year first above written, Signed Adams Larah Lorch J. Meissonier & PA Ducoing all present in Court, and after having signed the said will Ne Varitur at the beginning and end of each page there of do new order the same to be deposited and recorded mi the Office of the block of the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans, and that the execution there of take place according to law.
