Be it know that on the Fourteenth day of December One thousand eight hundred and seventy seven. Before me Marcet T Dorcas a Notary Public in and for the City and parish of New Orleans and, State of Louisiana aforesaid, duly commissioned and sworn personally came and appeared in my office on 18 Royal Street. Mr Herman Exsterstein, of this city who being an invalid but sound in mind, memory and understanding as he appeared to me Notary and to the witnesses here in after named and understand required of me Notary, to take and receive his last will and testament, which he thereupon dictated to me notary in presence of said witnesses in the manner following to which I declare that my name I Hermann Exsterstein that have lawfully married with Bertha Parthash who resides with me in this city, that I was born in Bersenbruck, Germany, and am now aged about Forty Nine years. I declare that of my marriage with Bertha Parthash I have six children living named, Mathilda, Johann, Katrina, August, Bertha and Aurelia the five last named being minors. I give and bequeath to my wife the said Bertha my truck and enjoyment during the terser of her natural life of all the property, goods, and credits I may leave at my death and institute and appoint hey my sole Testamentary Executrix with seize. I give and bequeath my said six children, share and share alike all the property I may die possessed of, subject to the usufruct abound granted. I revoke all wills or codicils of wills I may have, or may have heretofore more thus it was the foregoing will was dictated to me Notary, by the paid tester in presence of said witnesses and I having read the said will to the said testator in presence of said witnesses, in a loud and intelligible voice, he declared in their presence, that he understood the same perfectly well and persisted therein the whole of which was done at one time, without interruption without discontinuance, suggestion or turning aside to other sets and in the continual presence of said testator, the witnesses and me Notary.
