Transcribed by Tabitha Weekly Folger, Nathan Cyprian- probate, 1882 To the honorable the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans The petitioner of Madeline Godfrey widow of Nathen C Folger, who resides in the City of New Orleans respectfully represents: That her late husband the said Nathen C Folger departed this life on the city on the 16th day of August 1878, leaving property under the jurisdiction of this honorable court. That the estate of the deceased being encumbered with many debts and liabilities to discharge the same an administration now becoming necessary. That you petitioner under the preference given to her by law is willing to undertake the settlements of the estate and to comply with the requests of the law. Therefore petitioner prays, that this her application for letter of administration by the Estate of the deceased bet adverted according to low, that bending said publications an inventory of all the forecourt of the deceased be laten by Andrew Hero in not gob. in the manner and form pointed out by law, and that after due proceedings had your portioned, he appointed admonistratrix of said estate. And for all other orders and decrees necessary and proper in the premises. And for general relief.
