State of Louisiana, Parish of Orleans, City of New Orleans 
  Be it known that on the Twenty Ninth day of March in the year of our lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and One 1901. 
  Before me George Gustave Kronenberg a Notary Public, duly commissioned and sworn in and for the parish of Orleans therein residing personally came and appear in my office 4322 magazine street in this city who requested me notary, to receive and write down his last will and testament and being in sound mind memory and understanding as he appeared to me notary and witnesses hereinafter named and undersigned he dictated his last will to me notary in presence of witnesses and o did write the same as dictated in presence of said witnesses as follows to wit…
  My name is John Paul Hecker, I am married to Julia S Rogers, I have four children now living the issie of my marriage with my said wife namely, Cornelius Alfred, John Paul, Charles Christian Rogers and Catherine Seabrook Hecker, I give and bequeath to my wife all and everything, I die possessed of constituting her my universal legatee and that portion of my estate within community on separate uloid is reserved by law to my said children, I give to my said wife in usufruct for ger to enjoy during her life. I appoint my said wife the testamentary executrix of my estate without bound.
  It was this said testator dictated his last will and testament to me notary in the presences of Robert and Rusha, Jos C Whitmore, James Boyd Grimmage, and Daniel J Chevally, all competent witnesses residing in the Parish of Orleans above the age of twenty one years of age. and I said notary did write the said will as dictated by said testator in presence of said testator and said witnesses and having read said will in a loud and distinct voice to the witnesses by declared that it was nis last will and testament and persisted in its contents all done at one time without interruption or turning aside to other acts.
 In witness where of the said testator has signed his name in presence of said witnesses and of me notary and said witnesses have signed in presence of said testator and of mr notary who signed in presence of said testator and witnesses after reading.
  All done in presence of each other and the testator declearing to me notary on presence of said witnesses that the whole was his last will.
