Transcribed by Tabitha Weekly Hemmerling, Henry - will, 1886 18274 Testament of Henry Hemmerling filed June 30/86 State of Louisiana Parish of Orleans Before me Abel Dreyfous, Notary Public for the parish of Orleans and city of New Orleans therein residing, And in the presence of Messas Anthony Prados, Felix J Dreyfous, and Charles G Prodos all of this city and witnesses hereto required, Personally appeared, Mr. Henry Hemmerling, of this city, who being sound of body and mind dictated to me, Notary, in presence of said witnesses his last will and testament in manner following. I am married to Mary Hecker of whom I have my children, she is my second wife, of my first marriage with the late Mary Kathe, I have only two children living, namely, John and Henry Hemmerling both living with me. All the property, I possess has few acquired since my second marriage. I give and bequeath to my wife Mary Hecker the usufruct and enjoyment during her natural life of all the property which I have or may possess on the day of my death without being bound to give security. This legacy she be null and void in the event of my said wife Contacting marriage after my death. I nominate my said wife my testamentary executes and setiger of my estate. I revoke all wills I may heretofore have made. Thus this last will and testament was dictated to me by the testator and I have written the same with my own hand as dictated to me and then, I, the notary, read it to the testator, who declared that he perfectly understood the same and persisted therein, the whole in presence of said witnesses. Done ald passed in my office at one time without interruption discontinuance or turning aside to other acts on the thirteenth of December eighteen hundred eighty three and after reading the whole by the testator in presence of said witnesses the testator has signed with said witnesses and me the notary.
