The petition of flies Catharine McDonald of lawful age and a resident of this parish, With respect represents: That her father, Michael McDonald and her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Kelly, his widow, died in this city, respectively on the 2nd and 9th days of January A. D. 1882, leaving as their sole and only heirs at- law, besides your petitioner, John A. McDonald, now deceased, Mrs. Ann McDonald, wife of Jordan Connor and Mrs. Ellen McDonald, wife of William F. Clark, all of lawful age and then residents of this parish. That on the 3rd day of August A. D. 1884 , her aforenamed brother, John A. McDonald, died leaving as his sole and only heirs-at- law his two aforenamed sister, Mrs. O'Connor and Mrs. Clank and your petitioner said John A. McDonald had never married.
