Shelby Alford

Alford, Shelby "Bumbo" - Died 12:14 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 1986, at Westpark Community Hospital, Hammond.  He was 78, a native of St. Helena Parish and resident of Kentwood.  Wisiting at 11 a.m. thursday. Burial in Alford Cemetery, west of Kentwood.
Survived by a daughter, Mrs Sam (Shirley) Rowe, Livingston, a son, Shelby Gene Alford, Kentwood, three sisters, Mrs Minnie A Harris and Mrs Loise"tiny" allen, both of Kentwood and Mrs. Lillie Mae A Falcon, Greensburg; a brother, J E "Gene" Alford, Kentwood; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by wife, Mattie Lee Lindsey Alford
