Dorothy (Puddin) Joseph Sherman entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 31, 2021 surrounded by her devoted husband and close family. Dorothy was born on November 18, 1950 to the union of Paul Joseph and Dorothy Taylor Joseph. She accepted the Lord and was baptized at an early age at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in New Orleans and continued her spiritual journey at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church here in Reserve, Louisiana. Dorothy would buy sheets and other fabrics to create her own line of dolls called "Bag Lady" which were not only stylish but useful for storing plastic grocery bags. Her good eye and hand coordination and the right tool, "her sewing machine", made her a sewing Picasso! Dorothy spent many hours of her day sewing and tailoring clothing to fit all body forms, making alterations; repairing zippers and hemlines. She could design clothing with or without a pattern, whether it was designing clothing, making handbags from cardboard boxes, or covering shoes to coordinate with your outfit, Dorothy was indeed a whiz with a needle and thread. Rest peacefully, Lil Picasso.
