I am looking for information on my father,
Frank (no middle name) SANDERS From Amite. I have
very little info on his early years. He listed his
birthday as March 2, 1900 and also March 2, 1902.
He said he was from a large family and ran away
from home at age 15 and joined the Navy during
WW1. He was married in 1932? and had a son named
Frank Jr. My fathers first wife died in 1942.
On my fathers Marriage licence to his first wife
the best man was listed as Arley Sanders
from Arcola La. My father married my mother,
Gertrude Mae JOHNSON in New London Ct. in 1944.
In the 1910 Tangipahoa census there are 2 Sanders
listed with sons named Frank. Charles ( Cass ) and
Georgia Sanders ( 8 Children ), and Marcus and
Elizabeth Labo Sanders. In an old family album my
father listed Marcus And Elizabeth as his parents
altho they only had 1 child listed and my father
always said he was from a large family. Any help
would be greatly appreciated in getting me past
this brick wall I have run into.
